Eleven volunteers will be travelling from the UK to Essaouira on the 19th November to continue their work. As well as spending 6 days carrying out neutering and treament the volunteers will be holding 'Cat Awareness Day' on the 20th where they will give information to local people about HSAM's work and how they can help the cats.
HSAM founders Claire Sedgwick and Rob White will be meeting with Dr Mustapha Chouhbi, chief of veterinary services in Essaouira to further discuss the current rabies policy and how a change to neutering and vaccination could lead to a healthier, better managed street dog population.
